A membership in our society is actually a must for every orchid lover!

Because as a DOG member…

  • you will receive our magazine “Die Orchidee” free of charge every two months.
  • you have access to the D.O.G. library, which currently contains over 14,000 media and provides answers to many questions about orchids and their cultivation.
  • you can take part in group life in a group near you or start one yourself.
  • you will get to know many like-minded orchid friends at the numerous events and in the bulletin board, who will be happy to help you with your questions and welcome you into their midst. This often leads to deep friendships.
  • you will constantly discover new beautiful plants to enjoy.
  • you get discounted admission to our two major orchid exhibitions in Dresden and Neu-Ulm.

Membership costs €70 per year (€10 for affiliated members in the same household), and only €30 for pupils and students on presentation of appropriate proof.

By the way: As we are a non-profit organization, the membership fee can be claimed as a donation on your income tax return.


Outside Germany, the membership fee is €80, or €90 if you wish to receive the magazine by airmail.
