Membership

A membership in our society is actually a must for every orchid lover!

Because as a D.O.G. member…

  • you receive every two month the member magazin “Die Orchidee”.
  • you have access to the D.O.G. library , which currently includes over 16,700 media and provides answers to many questions about orchids and their culture.
  • you can participate in group life in a group near you or start one 
  • you will meet many like-minded orchid friends at the numerous events who will be happy to help you with any questions and warmly welcome you into their midst. This often leads to deep friendships.
  • you constantly discover new beautiful plants that you can enjoy.
  • you get discounted admission to our two major orchid exhibitions in Dresden and Neu-Ulm.

Membership costs just €50 per year (€5 for attached members in the same household), and only €30 for pupils and students upon presentation of appropriate proof.

By the way: Since we are a non-profit association, the membership fee can be claimed as a donation in the income tax return.


Outside of Germany, the membership fee is €60, or €70 if you wish to have the magazine sent by airmail.
