Issue 2-2026 is out!<\/p>\n

This year, we are once again presenting the “Orchid of the Year” chosen by the representatives of the German Native Orchid Working Groups (AHO) \u2013 Epipactis purpurata<\/em>, the Violet Helleborine.<\/p>\n

But that’s not all, of course. Whether it’s practical articles on cultivation, reports on trips to interesting natural habitats, an introduction to new methods for germinating mature orchid seeds in asymbiotic propagation or other orchid-related topics \u2013 there’s something for everyone.<\/p>\n

All members of the German Orchid Society receive 6 issues of our magazine “Die Orchidee” and the special issue “Bewertung”, if available, free of charge every year. Simply fill out the membership application form here<\/a><\/u>.<\/p>\n

“Die Orchidee” is the bimonthly publication of the German Orchid Society, which all members of the Society receive. It contains articles on all topics related to orchids and is one of the most renowned publications in this field in the world. Those who are interested will find detailed travel reports from the natural habitats of orchids with high-quality site photographs, field reports on new cultivation methods, but also news from the taxonomy of orchids in our magazine. Furthermore, the “Pages for Beginners” offer practical tips and tricks for newcomers, which are also readily accepted by experienced orchid lovers. If you want to get an overview of our magazine, you can browse through the table of contents of the years in which all articles are listed.<\/p>\n

In addition, we offer you the opportunity to read a sample of a complete issue online<\/a>. (Attention, this is a very large file with approx. 17 MB. This is due to the high number of images and cannot be reduced!)<\/p>\n
